“Who will take care of me and our children now that he is gone?” – Late Pooley’s wife lament
Who will take care of me and our children now that he is gone? This is the very difficult to answer question asked by late Pooley’s wife as the death of her husband creates emotional, financial and other voids in the life of her children and her self.
The family of the die-hard Kotoko Fan, Francis Frimpong are still in shock over his death which happened at Nsoatreman during a football match.
A video captured where she was mourning her late husband while shedding tears and speaking words that got the sympathizers in tears as they witnessed her heart-wrenching pain.
In her mourning state Yaa Gifty asked a question that resonated with many who heard it: “Who will take care of me and our children now that he is gone?”
Yaa Gifty says she was expecting her husband to return home after he left Kumasi for the first game of the second half of the season.
She said to one of the sympathizers “He told me [he was going to watch the game]. I am waiting for my husband and I have left everything to God,”
“When the bus set off, he called me. He did same when he got to his destination. He even called me to tell me he was not being allowed to enter the stadium, I told him not to enter but he didn’t listen to me.”
“At 3pm, my husband had died and I was not aware of it?
She questioned why such a calamity had befallen her family, particularly when her marriage to Pooley had been so short, lasting less than a year.
The disaster happened during a heated match between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC, where tensions escalated between the teams and their supporters, leading to the fatal violence.
An alarming video surfaced online showing Pooley lying on the ground, struggling for his life after being stabbed. The footage has been spread, leaving many netizens in tears.
Pooley lost his life on Sunday, 2nd February 2025 due to bleeding after been stabbed in the heated argument.

As the family mourns, the community remains in shock, reflecting on the senseless loss of a man who was so full of life and has lots of love for the game.
Amidst this tragedy, an old video resurfaced circulating on social media, Apostle Nana Kwarteng Amanfo Nyansa Kyeame, the founder and leader of Sankofa Ministries, prophesied that a popular supporter of one of the biggest clubs in Ghana would lose his life.

In a press statement, the GFA placed an indefinite ban on the home venue of Nsoatreman FC as part of its disciplinary measures in line with Article 14(2) of the Premier League Regulations.
The GFA also tasked its Security Committee, led by DCOP Lydia Donkor to visit the Nana Koramansah Park to investigate the violent incident and present a report for further action
