WAEC responds to alleged LEAKED Integrated Science Questions

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has responded to the alleged leakage of its Integrated Science Questions examination questions for the WASSCE.  

According to the council, the questions circulating are fake and are not the paper 1 and 2 of the Integrated Science paper for 3rd August 2020.

WAEC allayed the fears of the public, candidates and other stakeholders.

It said the fake paper is part of the activities of rogue websites with the sole purpose of leading candidates astray.

WAEC also indicated that it has alerted the BNI, CID, and National Security about the threat posed by these groups.

Efforts of such groups aim at discrediting the examining body.

It advised all candidates preparing for the WASSCE 2020 to remain focused as they continue to prepare toward their impending WASSCE exam. The Council called on candidates to observe all the needed safety measures to remain safe from COVID-19.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has said it is excited about the high interest the public has in the 2020 WASSCE for school candidates. The council, however, cautioned all stakeholders to be circumspect on putting out information on the examination.

This year’s WASSCE will be crucial as it is the first test for the Free SHS and its first batch of students whose examination was postponed as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19.

COVID-19 delayed the WASSCE 2020 by nearly five months. Students are eager to get over this huddle.

Edulearnweb can confirm that many of the groups that leak questions have migrated to telegram. On one of such groups we have been monitoring, they have assured patrons of their illegal acts that questions will be released with solutions.

The reaction from WAEC is timely but they must do more than just debunking.

WAEC may claim to be on top of issues, however, it has to step up its game.
