Elon Musk’s Twitter now has a feature similar to Instagram, how to use Twitter Highlights
You can now showcase your best tweets on Twitter under a single tab called ‘Highlights’. The feature is now available to users.
- Twitter has rolled out a new feature.
- You can now add your favourite tweets as highlights.
- The feature is similar to that of Instagram.
Before Elon Musk’s takeover, Twitter used to be a micro-blogging platform that would allow its users to share their thoughts with the world. However today, Twitter is no more just a micro-blogging site. It allows you to upload full-length feature films, write longer tweets, subscribe to other content creators, buy the once-precious blue tick, etc. And now, Musk has added yet another feature to Twitter that will allow you to highlight your favourite tweets in a separate tab.
Twitter rolls out highlights feature
The new highlights feature, as mentioned already, will allow users to keep their favourite tweets in a separate tab. These tweets will be visible in the tab that says ‘Highlights’ and will let Twitter users keep specific tweets in the limelight.
This feature is similar to Instagram, which lets users add their Instagram stories as Highlights on their profiles.
A tweet by Doge Designer, retweeted by Elon Musk, reads, “Highlights Tab is now live on Twitter. You can now showcase your favorite tweets on your profile.”
All you need to do in order to add a tweet to highlights is look at the tweet that you want to highlight, click on the three dots that appear at top right of the tweet and select the option that says ‘Add/remove from highlights’.
Elon Musk says he made Twitter better for users
Musk recently addressed a large crowd at the VivaTech conference held in Paris. During the event, he said that he has made Twitter better for users and bought the platform because it was having a ‘corrosive’ effect on users.
“My hope was to change that and have it be positive for civilization,” he said.
He also added that he believes that most of the platform’s regular users will say that their experience on the website has improved. In addition to this, Musk also expressed his confidence in Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino’s ability to deal with advertisers. He also said that almost all ‘advertisers have said they have either come back, or they will come back’.
Meanwhile, Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, took charge recently and in her first email to employees, she motivated them to work hard towards building Twitter 2.0. Yaccarino also said that Twitter is on a mission to be ‘the world’s most accurate real-time information source and a global town square for communication’.
Previously, Elon Musk had also called Twitter ‘the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated’.
