The examining body in its quest to ensure the credibility of the examination directed that where the examiners or markers identity ten (10) candidates copied each other, the results of the entire school in which the candidates sat for the examination should be cancelled.

Before the 2019 WASSCE, Newsghana24.com published that, there were persons who were trying to sell supposed WASSCE 2019 questions on social media. During the examination, invigilators and some teachers raised the red flag over the exam calling on the West African Examination Council to cancel certain papers however, their plea was not taken.
The current press release suggests that WAEC is trying to take important corrective actions to remedy the damage just in case some students had foreknowledge of the exams.
With this in place, many of those who cheated may fall but others will escape. But time will tell when the results are finally released.
