Awal Suleman pitch invader receives a heroes welcome like a king. During the 2 nil win of the Ghana Black Stars game against their South African counterparts the Bafana Bafana, the fan invaded the pitch in Cape Coast on Thursday. Fans across the country and players of the Black stars team were excited when the news of his release broke out.

His detention spawned #FreeAwal hashtag which was trending on social media.
The GFA through its twitter handle confirmed his release and the captain of the Black Stars also tweeted same. He said in his tweet “Awal Suleman has been released from Police custody”
The people of Cape Coast gave Awal Suleman a king’s welcome celebration amid drumming, dancing and wild jubilation.
Awal Suleman pitch invader has become the favourate of the fans and one of the famous balck stars support as a result of his invasion of the field.
His act is common around the world in sports. Probably the #BringBackTheLove by the GFA is doing wonders for the black stars and the fans love it.

On the night when the Black Stars dispatched South Africa in the AFCON2021 qualifyer in Accra our hero of the game was no other person than the one and only Awal Suleman.
Earlier on there were reports that the pitch invader, one Awal Suleman, was still in police cells and that he was to be processed for court. Information gathered about Awal revealed he is a student nurse and a former 400 meters runner of Apam Senior High School in the Central Region. No wonder he left the police behind when they tried to stop him.
