UTAG and Other Stakeholders to meet with Education Minister on February 8.

Following the order from the Labour 1 Court Division of the High Court for the University Teachers Association of Ghana( UTAG) and the National Labour Commission( NLC) to settle disputes related to ongoing strike by UTAG, the minister is set to meet with UTAG.
The order was given on February 3, 2022 but no moves were made in that regard as UTAG refused to meet with the National Labour Commission with the Government making evidently clear that the NLC need meet only with the Government to resolve issues.
His Lordship Justice Frank Rockson Aboadwe gave the directive with a timeline ending on February 10, 2022.
The letter released was signed by Professor Mohammed Salifu, the Director General of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, to confirm Tuesday February 8, 2022 as the date for the meeting between UTAG and the Minister of Education.
The meeting is scheduled at 3:00 pm at the Minister’s Conference room.
