Trees crash Vehicles at Airport after downpour [Video]
Accra Airport has witnessed significant rain-cars crash due to a severe rainstorm on trees around which happened early this morning.
This morning, as residents of Accra braced for the usual downpour, an unexpected strong wind accompanied the rain, causing major disruptions.
As reported, two cars suffered considerable damage when the trees, unable to withstand the wind, fell on them.
The incident involved a Matiz and a Toyota Yaris, bearing registration numbers GX 747-13 and GW 5228-18, respectively.
The pressure of the wind which led to the fall of the trees illustrate how heavy and dangerous the wind was.
Following the news, the Ghana National Fire Service from the 37 Station, promptly visited the scene of the accident.
The personnel undertook the task of cutting the fallen trees into smaller logs, a step believed to facilitate the removal of the damaged cars and clear the area for safe passage and easy removal of the two cars.
This quick response was critical in preventing further accidents and ensuring that the roadways were cleared as swiftly as possible.
