SHS Semester Break and Reopening Dates : GES

SHS Semester break has been announced by the GES in a press release dated 28th February 2020.

Management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform staff, students, parents, and the general public that all Senior High Schools will go on a semester break from Friday, February 28th until Wednesday, March 4th, 2020.

According to the GES, this break will mark the end of the semester for all students except form 2 Gold truck students.

It further stated that, form 2 Gold students will resume on March 4th to continue with academic work until May 8th, 2020.

This will ensure they complete the first semester as scheduled. However, they are expected to resume school on 12th May to begin their second semester.

When will the Free SHS second semester begin?

Final year or form 3 will resume March 4th until they complete the 2020 WASSCE in June 2020. SHS Semester Break is expected to help students take a break from academic work.
