Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC inaugurates first branch in Ho, Volta Region.

The Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has officially inaugurated its maiden branch in the Volta Region’s Capital, Ho. The branch has mark an essential step in the bank’s mission for the enhancement of financial accessibility, inclusivity and economic empowerment as part of its retail strategy. Officials of the Bank of Ghana (BOG), traditional rulers, captains of the banking industry and members of the public attended the grand ceremony.
Hon. James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister in his statement with immense pride, commended Republic Bank for its investment in the region and encouraged local entrepreneurs to fully leverage the financial services and opportunities provided by the bank. He then emphasized that “ This is my first official assignment since my appointment and I’m elated to see this development. The government’s commitment to empower women entrepreneurs aligns perfectly with the Republic Bank’s presence here. I look forward to seeing Republic Bank play a crucial role in supporting market women and nurturing local business”. He also said that the bank had come to Ho at the right time to contribute to the growth of the local economy. He then appealed to the bank to give soft loans to small and medium enterprises to enable them to expand to the benefit the people.
Prior to the the inauguration ceremony, the Dufia of Ho-Heve, Togbe Anikpi III, said the move by Republic Bank was most appropriate at the time the local population and local business were expanding rapidly. “We are excited to be witnessing this inauguration, and we expect customer friendly services from the staff”, he added.

The grand event also saw an esteemed customer of the Republic Bank, Mr. Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah who attested to the bank’s role in expanding his business to multiple countries. “Republic Bank has been a game changer for my business and I am confident their presence here will benefit many more entrepreneurs. This is a bank that sits with you to understand your business and fashion a financial solution for growth” as Mr. Kwamigah uttered.

Mr. Benjamin Dzoboku, the Republic Bank’s Managing Director also said that this branch is not just an expansion of our presence but a testament to our unwavering commitment to supporting the youth, women entrepreneurs and business owners. He urged the small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region to acquire one of the bank’s range of credit cards for their operating expenses known as Fantastic credit card. Fantastic credit cards is accessible to all income earners.
