Fisherman Jailed For Eight Years For Defiling 4-Year-Old Baby

Joseph Armah alias Asaa was sentenced by the Gender-Based Violence Court at the police headquarters to 8 years in prison for defiling a four-year-old girl at Chorkor in the Greater Accra Region. Joseph Armah a boxer, pleaded guilty to the charges.
The court was presided over by Dora Eshun convicted Mr Armah on his own plea and sentenced him appropriately
The prosecution, headed by Chief Inspector Opoku Aniagyei, informed the court that the accused was the uncle of the victim and a resident at Lantemaamli-Chorkor, where the crime took place.
At around 3 o’clock in the afternoon on the 24th of November 2024, the accused (now convicted) saw his niece and offered her Ghc1 to buy a biscuit. The victim took the money, bought the biscuit, and ate it. Mr Armah then proceeded to lead the victim to his house at the seaside in Chorkor and proceeded to defile the 4-year-old girl.
When the victim returned home, her mother noticed a difference in her demeanor and proceeded to question her daughter as to what had happened. Her daughter told her mother what had happened; a complaint was made at the Mamprobi police station, which led to the arrest of the convict, who subsequently confessed to his crimes.
