The annual competition has become an important academic event on the calendar of second-cycle schools. It offers students, teachers, schools, and their general public a chance to come face-to-face with some of Ghana’s best fertile brains in our secondary schools who are studying science and related subjects.
Presec Legon, who are the defending champions and the only school to have annexed the trophy eight times, will be eying another trophy, but the likes of Achimota and Prempeh College will have their own ideas and plans to unseat the champions of the National Science and Math Quiz.
Previous year’s regional champions are expected to make it to the regional finals. The likes of Regional champions Presec LEGON, Accra Academy, Adisadel College, St. James Seminary SHS, Tamale Islamic Science SHS, Anglican SHS, Kumasi, Pope John SHS & Minor Seminary, Mawuli School, and Ghana Secondary Technical School are expected to make it to the national competitions; however, the competitions provided by other schools at the regional level will have a lot to say in the end.
