Over 40 health facilities completed under Akufo-Addo – Okoe-Boye
In an effort to improve healthcare delivery in Ghana, nearly 40 health facilities have been completed under Akufo-Addo ‘s government, according to Minister-designate Bernard Okoe-Boye.
These facilities—district centres, specialised units, polyclinics, and CHIP compounds—are not associated with the government’s Agenda 111 project, which aims to build new hospitals all over the nation.
The government’s dedication to inclusivity was highlighted by Dr. Okoe-Boye, who said, “There are times when it’s important to look at what has been done to give us hope for what to do.” The second thing I mentioned was to carry all of us forward, in addition to bettering healthcare.

We have constructed roughly 40 structures of health facilities, polyclinics, district centres, specialised units, CHIP compounds, and other things since this government assumed office.
As I already stated, we’ll walk everyone through it so that you can feel it; I won’t be showing any images.
We are working on roughly 26 facilities, all of which are not included in Agenda 111. I am confident that everyone will visit and recognise the hard work that has been put into these projects.

Apart from the healthcare facilities’ completion, Dr. Okoe-Boye declared that the government would implement a productive reservation system in public health facilities.
The system intends to improve overall healthcare service delivery and expedite hospital visitation procedures. It is anticipated to be piloted by the third quarter of 2024.
“We are working in hand with the Ministry, together with the team, Chief Directors, and the technical advisor to make sure that by the third quarter of 2024, this government can pilot a booking system, when it comes to the hospital visitation system.”
