NDC will Remains in Opposition for the Foreseeable Future
The Minister of Trade and Industry, Kobina Tahir Hammond, is confident that Ghanaians will unite in support of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming general elections. He believes that the people of Ghana will witness the remarkable achievements of the current NPP-led administration in steering the country towards socioeconomic recovery, despite the challenges they have faced.
K.T Hammond expressed his views during a media address following President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

Acknowledging the crises that have been discussed and the knowledge gained, K.T Hammond stated that the NPP government has performed exceptionally well. He emphasized that based on the government’s statements, he believes the country will strongly support Vice-President Alhaji Bawumia. K.T Hammond, who also serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi-Asokwa, urged the general public to disregard the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and their propaganda.

He questioned the motives behind the NDC’s sudden outbursts and former President John Mahama’s decision to attend the State of the Nation’s Address for the first time. K.T Hammond advised against falling for the propaganda spread by these individuals in the NDC.
It should be noted that I am uncertain whether he has ever attended during President Akufo-Addo’s eight-year tenure. Former President John Mahama made the decision not to attend.

However, today he made an appearance, and I am unsure of the message he was conveying. Nevertheless, I can assure you that the citizens of Ghana are determined to keep the NDC in opposition for an extended period of time,” he emphasized.
