Mother stabbed to Death by Daughter at Abuakwa Asenemaso
In a shocking and disturbing incident, a 76-year-old mother was brutally stabbed to death by her own daughter in Abuakwa-Asenemaso, Atwima Nwabiagya South, Ghana. The tragic event has left the community in shock and mourning.
According to reports, Joyce Boateng, the daughter of the victim, stabbed her mother with a disability after being convinced by two pastors that her mother was a witch. The pastors, a male and female duo, allegedly told Joyce that her mother was practicing witchcraft, which led her to take drastic measures.
The assembly member for Asenemaso electoral area, Isaac Owusu Boateng, confirmed the incident and was revealed that Joyce had also attempted to poison herself.
“According to Joyce’s brother, he saw her heading towards the cemetery with blood stains.
The residents thought she was hurt. She later went to an agro-chemical shop and took one of the chemicals. But someone saw it and took it from her”, he said.
He expressed his concern about the lack of public awareness and education on such sensitive matters.
