The Nadowli Kaleo constituency parliamentarian, Alban Kingsford Bagbin, as revealed that Martin Amidu’s Special Procurator of Ghana is likely to abandon his job due to problems in carrying out his term of office.
According to him the State can’t be held accountable by powerful governmental institutions because they are not too well equipped to combat this risk.
Martin Amidu lamented that the state appointees did not cooperate in proving him to prosecute “corrupt” officers. Martin Amidu said he did not have the resources to achieve the mandate of his office in a speech at the National Audit Forum organized by the Ghana Audit Service.
He cautioned that if the condition is not resolved soon, the office will not be able to fully perform its obligations towards the people of Ghana. Nonetheless, Alban Bagbin stated that Amidu could be irritated and possibly cease to function.
He spoke to Starr FM, based in Accra and indicated Amidu’s was a clean fellow who serves his country.
He has no resource and room to work with, Gbagbin added saying knowing Martin, he probably should leave and he wouldn’t have his name put on the line and get it soiled.
