France coach Didier Deschamps has initially called for Lampard to bring more playing time to the 33-year-old, despite his value to the national squad, and it is speculated that a switch to Ligue 1 could be on the cards in January to maintain that position in the assault by France.

All three strikers are likely to engage this summer at Euro 2020, but Lampard said it doesn’t coming into his mind and he’s focused on what’s going on at club football.
“It’s hard for me and it’s tough for them. I’ve got to take care of all the players and select a squad as I see it for Chelsea’s strongest as they do for their country,” he told journalists.
“I have three attacking players to choose from and I need to make decisions, but I can’t really complain of any of their mindsets.” This is where you need competence. I’ve got it from them all.
“I’d always have a chat with a player who says they don’t want to play for the soccer club. We’re not at that level yet, so it’s not something that we’re talking about right then.
