Kwasia – Shatta Wale goes raw on Fada Dickson chaka chaka; Drags innocent Despite into heavy beef
In a turn of events that has once again set the Ghanaian entertainment scene ablaze, controversial dancehall artist Shatta Wale has reignited his feud with prominent media figures, Fadda Dickson, and Osei Kwame Despite, the mogul behind Despite Media Group.
The saga, which traces its roots back to 2023, saw its latest chapter unfold with the release of Shatta Wale’s provocatively titled diss track, “Fada Violet,” squarely aimed at Fadda Dickson.
The beef originally stemmed from remarks made by Peace FM’s Akwasi Aboagye, claiming Shatta Wale had been paid a hefty 80,000 pounds for his performance at the Ghana UK Music Awards.
Reacting vehemently to what he perceived as a baseless and derogatory assertion, Shatta Wale lashed out, sparing no words in his denunciation of Akwasi Aboagye, Fadda Dickson, and Osei Kwame Despite, whom he accused of being complicit in the alleged media bias and hypocrisy.
As we venture into the third month of 2024, it’s clear that Shatta Wale’s grievance with Fadda Dickson and the Despite Media Group has not only persisted but intensified.
Through “Fada Violet,” Shatta Wale vociferously criticizes what he sees as unwarranted attacks against him by the media group and its affiliates, insinuating that wealth and media ownership do not place them beyond reproach or exempt them from his scathing rebukes.
Shatta Wale, who identifies strongly with his Ga Mashie roots, emphasizes a street-bred principle of mutual respect, suggesting that any disrespect aimed at him will be met with equal fervor.
His latest lyrical onslaught employs a range of derogatory terms, particularly targeting Fadda Dickson, who has notably chosen silence in response to Shatta Wale’s previous outbursts.
This ongoing saga between Shatta Wale and the media moguls highlights not just the personal grievances of the parties involved but also raises questions about the interplay between media portrayal and artist reputation, the boundaries of public discourse, and the extent to which personal and professional slights are navigated and addressed in the public eye.
