Just In: Conditions for Re-opening of Schools – Ministry of Education

The conditions for Re-opening of schools have been outlined by the Ministry of Education
through Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (MP) the Education Minister. The government in the 10th national address by the president of Ghana, H.E Nana Akuffo-Addo eased restrictions to allow final year students.

According to the guidelines released by the Ministry of Education
For a school to reopen, the school must be disinfected (public and private) others include
Provision of WASH facilities for all schools
Provision of washable and reusable Facemasks for all students and staff and mapping of all schools to health facilities.
In addition to the above, all Classes to be split and no mass gathering is to be discouraged which includes school assemblies. No sports and sporting events nor religious activities in schools.
The conditions for re-opening of schools are to be adhered to strictly at all levels.
