“I am running for president of the United States” – says Kanye West

The year 2020 has lots of surprises for us, let’s forget Covid19. American ace rapper Kanye West has announced that he is running for the president of the United States of America.
The 244-year-old United States of America has had forty-five (45) presidents. Among these, the only known black was the 44th who made his way to the White House. Barack Obama is of a Kenyan father and an American mother.
However, there are unsubstantiated claims from some historians that past presidents Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Dwight D. Eisenhower were blacks too.

Rapper Kanye West, if successful in his political career would become the second undoubtedly, black U.S president. The “Ye” rapper born in Atlanta, Georgia after years of hints has finally announced he is running for president this year in a challenge to Trump.
It’s quite shocking the two have a very good rapport and now they are to turn into rivals. Even when the news broke out, initially, social media users went gaga that he is contesting for Republicans because of his relationship with Trump. Notably, he was pictured in the Oval Office in 2018 wearing a signature Trump “Make America Great Again” cap. He even called the president his ‘brother’ some time ago.

West shared, “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States #2020VISION.”
Even though we don’t know how serious West’s intentions are, but he still has time to file as an independent candidate across most states, according to Ballotpedia.
Among countless followers giving their endorsement is billionaire Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla. He wrote, “You have my full support!”
West can take the seat, but lots of blacks disapproved of his relationship with Trump. However, knowing he has intentions to contest for the Democrats to rival the Republicans can win their love back. But others also think his move would serve as an advantage for Trump.
