Farmers Day: Make Agriculture More Attractive For The Youth – Apostle Francis Amoako Attah To Gov’t

The Founder and Leader of Parliament Chapel International (PCI), Apostle Francis Amoako Attah has called on governments across Africa to modernize its agriculture in order to make it attractive for the youth who always travel out to the West for greener pastures.
According to him, there is no reason in the young African going abroad to do same things they could have done here in their respective countries and for the benefit of the country and their own personal benefits.
Civilization, he indicated began with agriculture, and though humanity has changed significantly, agriculture still remains very important.
According to him, God gave Adam from the beginning of creation two main professions which are farming and fishing.
Apostle Francis Amoako Attah said its significance is more obvious, but the reality is that every country in the world depends on agriculture for one thing or another since it is a source of raw materials, it makes up a huge portion of what’s traded internationally, It plays a big role in a nation’s revenue, it is crucial to a country’s development and it can help heal the environment and source of employment to the youth especially.
He said many raw materials, whether it’s cotton, sugar, wood, or palm oil, come from agriculture and these raw materials are essential to major industries in ways many people aren’t even aware of, such as the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, diesel fuel, plastic, and more.
Speaking of trade, he averred that developing countries still get most of their national income from agricultural exports and that while developed countries don’t depend on agriculture as much as they used to, their economies would definitely take a hit if all exports suddenly stopped.
It provides employment
The agricultural industry is still one of the biggest sources of employment and in many areas, it’s actually booming.
Apostle Francis Amoako Attah popularly called THE SEER, said Agriculture possesses the power to harm or heal with the explanation that when farmers prioritize biodiversity on their land, it benefits the earth.
Having more biodiversity, he indicated results in healthier soil, less erosion, better water conservation, and healthier pollinators.
“This is all good news for the environment as a whole, making agriculture an important part of the cycle of life.”
The Man of God who was speaking on Farmers Day celebration in Ghana advised government to make farming attractive since that is the major profession God gave to mankind.
“God gave Adam farming and fishing….one person having four powerful rivers. We should not destroy our waters, we should not destroy our fishes,” he advised.
He also stressed that it is dangerous for the people to undermine the farming community and industries since that is the bedrock of every development and growth.
He said the time has come for all especially government to empower Agriculture by modernizing it and making it an attractive venture for the youth who are energized to keep development agenda of the country moving.
