Ephyia Stade Edna Wins Triumph Media Personality of the Year, Vows to Double Her Impact
Award-winning media personality and communications professional Ephyia Stade Edna has been honoured as the Triumph Media Personality of the Year at the 2026 Triumph Women Awards, with the recognition inspiring her to intensify her work and double her impact.
Edna received the award at the third edition of the Triumph Women Awards, held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, under the theme “Rewarding Champions.”
The recognition celebrates her contributions to media, communication, storytelling, and public engagement, as well as her broader commitment to empowering women and young people.
She was among a distinguished group of women recognised during the awards ceremony for their contributions across different sectors of national and international life.

Among the recipients were Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee, who received the Triumph Lifetime Legacy of the Year award; Prof. Elsie Effah Kaufmann, honoured as Triumph STEM Excellence & Legacy of the Year; Anita Erskine, recognised as Triumph Global Impact Icon of the Year; Mrs. Mary Anane Awuku, named Triumph Woman of the Year; and Samira Abdul-Azeez, Esq., who received the Triumph Phenomenal Heroine of the Year award.
Other competitive award recipients included Roberta Maanaa Quaye, who was honoured as Triumph Health Icon of the Year; Philomina Afi Antonio, Triumph Philanthropic Icon of the Year; Leticia Enyonam Sateklah, Triumph Mental Health Advocate of the Year; Roissa Darko, Triumph Community Development Icon of the Year; and Dr. Maame Efua Gyasiwaa Abraham, who received both the Triumph Change Maker of the Year and Triumph Social Impact Icon of the Year awards.
The wide range of categories reflected the diverse ways women are contributing to leadership, health, advocacy, entrepreneurship, media, community development, philanthropy, STEM, and other areas of national life.
Edna: “This means there’s more to be done”
Reacting to the honour, Edna described the award as a significant recognition of her work and an encouragement to do more.
“It’s such a great honour to have an award like this,” she said.
According to her, the significance of the award extends beyond the plaque or title, describing the Triumph Women Awards as an initiative that empowers women and encourages people to create positive impact.
“An award that empowers people to do more, to impact others as well,” she said.
Edna said she had followed the Triumph Women Awards scheme for some time and had observed its contribution to recognising and empowering women.
“I have known this award scheme for some time now. I’ve followed them, and I know their impact. They empower women, and through them, people are making it out there,” she said.
For the media personality, the award also carries an important lesson about perseverance and remaining committed to one’s purpose, even when recognition does not come immediately.
She encouraged professionals and young people not to become discouraged when their efforts appear to go unnoticed.
“Wherever you are, you need to do what you’re doing. It doesn’t matter whether people are watching or people are not,” she said.
“Just know that I am doing this because I want to do it because I am impacting. And somehow, somehow, people are watching without you knowing. And when the time is right, definitely, you’ll be acknowledged.”
That philosophy, she said, has been reinforced by her latest recognition.
“This means a lot of work. And this means that there’s more to be done,” Edna said.
“This means that I am not going to sleep. I am definitely going to continue. And this time, I am doubling everything that I used to do.”
She expressed appreciation to everyone who supported her journey and contributed to her emergence as the award recipient, particularly those who recognised the value and positive impact of her work.
“I would love to say thank you to everybody who saw the vision, who saw the positive in everything, like what I am doing,” she said.
“Everybody who voted, I am really grateful to you all.”
Edna also used the occasion to encourage others to remain committed to their aspirations and continue making a difference wherever they find themselves.
“Wherever you are, do well and shine. And you will be acknowledged as well,” she said.
