“I Was Surprised and Shocked” — Georgina Amy Tieku Honoured for Exceptional Punctuality

What began as a moment of recognition turned into an emotional highlight when makeup artist and nail technician Georgina Amy Tieku broke down in tears after being honoured for her exceptional punctuality and commitment.

The touching moment occurred during the Triumph Women Awards 2026, which took place at the La Palm Royal Hotel on Sunday, September 27, when Lady Mrs. Deborah Borketey-Tackie, popularly known as DebbyQueen, host of the Triumph Women Awards 2026 and CEO of DebbyQueen Productions, personally presented Georgina with a Citation for Excellence in Punctuality.

The recognition celebrated Georgina’s reliability, professionalism, and consistent dedication to supporting DebbyQueen Productions.

After receiving the citation on stage, Georgina was handed the microphone to say a few words. However, overcome with emotion, she wept, creating a deeply touching moment at the presentation.

After regaining her composure, Georgina admitted that the honour had caught her completely off guard.

“I was surprised and I was shocked. I wasn’t expecting it,” she said.

Georgina, who has been working professionally in the beauty industry for almost four years, explained that her relationship with DebbyQueen initially began through makeup before she expanded her services to include nail care.

“Initially, I started with the makeup. Then, I came with the nails. Actually, I’m doing nails for her,” she explained.

The citation presented by DebbyQueen praised Georgina’s exceptional punctuality, reliability, and commitment, noting that her consistent dedication to being present, prepared, and on time demonstrated discipline, professionalism, and respect for teamwork.

It also recognised her contribution to the smooth execution of programmes, productions, and activities while celebrating the positive standard she sets for others.

“I would like to tell them to be very punctual. They should make sure that the time they are supposed to be there, they should be there. Exactly what their time is, they should be there,” she advised.
