COVID-19: Man Beaten To Death…Residents Threaten Retaliation

A 32-year-old was, allegedly, beaten by three policemen for breaching the lockdown order at 10 pm.
The deceased Kwabena Gideon, according to information gathered, came into contact with a police team patrolling the Konkole Township on Monday evening.

The police reportedly subjected Gideon to beatings for breaching the lockdown rules.
Gideon unfortunately, suffered severe head injuries and went into coma a result of the alleged brutalities.
He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical. He could not recover and died two days later.
Reports also said, dried leaves believed to be Indian Hemp was found on him.
Residents in the area have been angered by the development, they have threatened to retaliate for the man beaten by three policemen which has led to his death.
