Coronavirus: Open all closed radio stations for public education – NDC
The NDC Volta chapter is calling on the government to as a matter of urgency allow all the nine closed radio stations in the region to operate to enable them to step up public education efforts on the novel coronavirus in the region.
The party has observed a serious shortfall in public education on the covid-19 pandemic in the region as a result of the government’s continuous closure of these radio stations.

Consequently, the President’s address to the nation and other media engagements by the Ministry of Information and the Ghana Health Service is not able to reach the majority of our people.
In moments of national crisis, it is just prudent to deploy all resources, both public and private in the country to protect the citizenry.
The nine closed radio stations in volta region alone; Tongu radio, Hogbe radio, Sekpele radio, radio kpando, Dayi FM, Akpini FM, light FM, Kekeli FM, etc. in their current state are of no benefit to the communities and the state hence our call on the government to allow them to operate so as to step up the public education on the coronavirus pandemic of which the education on it is currently low in the region.
“We want to use this medium to thank all health workers in the region for the good work they are doing to keep our people educated on the pandemic and also assure the government that the NDC Volta will not relent in our collective effort to make sure the battle against the novel coronavirus is won”.
