Catherine Afeku named Brand Ambassador for World Tourism Forum Institute

Catherine Ablema Afeku, who was a former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture has just been revealed as the Brand Ambassador for Africa for the World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI). This is part of a broader efforts by the World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI) to grow the voice of Africa on the global tourism and investment stage.
Mrs Catherine Ablema Afeku receieved her appointment letter and she was unveiled at a ceremony in Accra by Richard Owusu, who is a representative of the World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI) in Ghana.
The Minister of Tourism, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, attended the event which was organized by World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI). World Tourism Forum Institute (WTFI), which is headquartered in London is committed to help in shaping the future of tourism and investment. Through their careful planned meeting, policy engagement, and bringing investors together, it supports sustainable development and public-private cooperation in the tourism sector.
In her appointment letter, the WTFI, through its President Bulut Bağcı, said that “Mrs Afeku earned the position because as Minister, she championed numerous high-level initiatives to promote Ghana as a cultural powerhouse and a destination for global tourism investment.”
Her appointment is a testament to her outstanding leadership, international recognition and her dedicated efforts in transforming tourism into a vehicle for inclusive growth in Ghana and across the region, he said. Mr Bulut Bağcı, sees the appointment as an important step in the efforts of the institution to strengthen its presence across Africa.
He said that the proven experience of Mrs Afeku, visionary leadership, and a strong understanding of culture that makes her uniquely suited to lead the mission. The appointment letter read that “With your guidance, we will amplify Africa’s tourism voice on the world stage and accelerate meaningful investment for a sustainable future.”
