Alexander Akwasi Acquah, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Akyem Oda MP, has urged Christians to pray for a peaceful election this year to maintain the current state of peace and togetherness.
The Akyem Oda MP urged citizens to support the government’s national reconstruction agenda and ignore the harsh and false accusations made about the NPP by its political opponents.
Mr Acquah, who is also a Deputy Minister of Health, spoke at the Oda District Church of the Lord Brotherhood’s golden jubilee anniversary celebration on Sunday.
The Akyem Oda MP urged Ghanaians to keep the NPP in power by voting overwhelmingly for the party’s flag bearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, and the party’s parliamentary candidates in the upcoming general election.
He emphasized that keeping the NPP in office will allow the people to continue to enjoy better governance and faster national growth.
Mr Acquah noted that the majority of the Agenda 111 projects were nearing completion, which would contribute significantly to enhanced healthcare delivery to the general public.
He stated that he was aiding the Oda Community Health Nurses Training College’s management in expanding infrastructure so that the institution could accept 600 students next academic year.
Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central, emphasized the importance of Ghanaians retaining the NPP in power in the December 7, 2024 general election.
Ms. Agyeiwaa presented the church with an undisclosed quantity of money on behalf of the MP and the municipal assembly.
