Transport Unions met to decide 30% Raise in Fares.

A number of transport unions have met recently in the first week of February to decide on the supposed imminent decision to increase fares due to the apparent increase in the prices and value of fuels including diesel and petrol. Such increase apparently influenced the livelihoods of direct earners and stakeholders in such transport unions.

The Oil Marketing Companies  inflicted such drastic changes by increasing prices of petroleum products.

Petrol is now valued at GH¢ 7090 per liter and Diesel at GH¢ 7130 per liter.

Some of such transport unions include; Progressive Transport Owners Association, Ghana Private Roads Transport Union, Concerned Drivers Association, etc.

David Agboado, Public Relations Officer of the Concerned Drivers Association publicly announced on Thursday February 3, 2022 that fares will be increased by 30% throughout the country, Ghana.
