GHS75.4 million WASSCE exam fees absorbed by gov’t

The government has absorbed the cost of the examination fees of final SHS students. This will cost the tax paper some GHS75.4 million.
These candidates are the first batch of the free SHS education introduced by President Nana Akufo-Addo in September 2017 also known as the Akufo-Addo
The absorbed registration fees and cost for the upcoming WASSCE 2020 covers the cost of students practical for students in public senior high schools and West Africa Secondary School Certificate,
The administrative cost for the examination has also been absorbed.
