The actress, who has been vocal about the issue on social media, is seeking to provide evidence of the debilitating effects of the inconsistent power supply to the President and the general public.
Her previous tweet inviting Ghanaians to join her in a massive campaign against the power cuts has sparked widespread interest and support.
This is not the first time Yvonne Nelson has taken a stand against the country’s power crisis.
In 2015, she joined forces with other celebrities to organize a series of protests against the frequent power outages.
This time around, she is hoping for a similar turnout and is seeking the support of the general public when the said date is due.
However, not everyone is on board with Yvonne’s plans.
The President of IMANI, Franklin Cudjoe, has stated that his organization will not be pressured into organizing a demonstration against the government.
Instead, IMANI will conduct their own protest at their own pace and invite individuals who share their grievances to join them.
Despite the differing opinions, Yvonne Nelson remains committed to her cause.
Her determination to bring attention to the issue has sparked a national conversation about the power supply crisis and its impact on daily life.
As the protest date approaches, it will be interesting to see how many Ghanaians will join Yvonne in demanding action from the government.
