Yango advances electric mobility adoption in Ghana’s delivery sector

Yango Ghana, part of a global network of tech innovators Yango Group, in partnership with Bboxx and Kofa, has disclosed a major collaboration aimed at scaling the introduction of electric vehicles (EVs) among partner couriers operating on the Yango Delivery service.
The initiative showcases companies’ shared commitment to foster sustainable development within Ghana’s fast-growing logistics.
Through this joint initiative, Yango will utilize expansive delivery network. Bboxx will also provide a PAYGO offer for e-bikes as well while Kofa will supply cutting-edge JIDI electric bikes and battery-swapping framework to support the transition to cleaner, cost-efficient transport.
Emmanuel Koduah, the Country Manager for Yango Delivery in Ghana said “This kind of partnership represents a milestone for sustainable mobility in Ghana.” He added that “Together, we are making green technology more accessible to everyday couriers, empowering them to earn more while reducing their environmental impact.”
As part of the program, Yango partner couriers will be granted access to JIDI e-bikes and also benefit from free servicing and special offers, ensuring higher earnings and operational efficiency. The JIDI e-bikes are built together with Kofa and TAILG to meet the specific demands of African riders, providing exceptional performance beyond petrol, enhanced safety, and up to 30% reduced operational expenses.
Bboxx is a leading company that provides access to important products aimed at clean energy and e-mobility solutions which will also allow the couriers to own JIDI bikes through flexible PAYGO.
As per the MD of BBoxx Ghana, Leticia Teiko Insaidoo, she expressed that “Our vision is to democratize access to clean energy technology. By collaborating with Yango and Kofa, we are creating a pathway for thousands of riders to embrace e-mobility and drive a cleaner, more efficient delivery ecosystem.”
