Walk-a-thon: Seidu Rafiwu finally reaches Accra as he sets new Guinness World Record (Video)
Ghanaian endurance athlete Seidu Rafiwu has captivated the nation and secured his place in the Guinness World Records, surpassing the previous record for the farthest distance walked by a male in 24 hours.
This record was previously held by Jesse Casteneda of the United States, who covered a remarkable 228.930 kilometers in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in September 1976.

Seidu Rafiwu’s monumental journey began with the goal of breaking this long-standing record and culminated in an impressive feat of physical and mental endurance.

His accomplishment was announced by EMT Douglas Boakye, a key member of Rafiwu’s support team, in a video that quickly went viral, gathering over 4,000 likes and 200 comments from supporters and well-wishers.
But Rafiwu isn’t stopping there. After completing his record-setting attempt, he embarked on a personal challenge to walk from Techiman to Accra, covering a distance of 383 kilometers.
