WAEC examination leakages to be reduced with mobile phone jamming tech

WAEC examination leakages are set to be reduced with the introduction of mobile phone jamming technology at examination centres.
Information reaching this portal shows that WAEC will roll out this technology to curb examination leakages in the 2021 WASSCE.
WAEC intends to introduce the mobile phone jamming technology at all examination centres in an effort to minimize and prevent cases of illegal access to examination questions which bread malpractices during the examination. WAEC examination leakages remain a major challenge confronting the annual conduct of examinations in the country.
This technology can interrupt the connection between the telephone and the cellular base station, potentially blocking mobile phones in the jammer, keep them from transmitting signals, and so on.
