Visionary Norman Foundation Donates to Kyeaboso Basic School
The Visionary Norman Foundation has donated various items to pupils of the Kyeaboso D/A Basic School. The foundation also conducted a free health screening exercise for pupils of the school.
The Visionary Norman Foundation is a Charity Organisation focused on empowering and uplifting individuals and communities by providing support, resources and opportunities. It seeks to provide equal opportunities to all individuals. The foundation is committed to eradicating poverty and promoting equality.
Mr.Abraham Norman, the CEO of the Foundation is a public health officer and a medical studentof the University of Cape Coast. He thanked the various people that volunteered to help the organization in donating the items to the Kyeaboso D/A Basic School. “A huge thank you to the amazing volunteers who joined us on this mission. Your dedication and support made this initiative a success. Together, we’re empowering the next generation with the tools and health they need to thrive”, He said.
This gesture is one of the numerous donations the Foundation has been making since the beginning of the year. The team has previously donated food items to persons on the streets in various cities including Cape Coast.
The Foundation provided the pupils of Kyeaboso D/A Basic school with essential school supplies including exercise books, pens, pencils, school bags, shoes and uniforms, ensuring they are equipped for a better learning experience. Additionally, the team conducted vision health screenings to address any potential sight issues that might hinder their education.
Early detection of eye problems is necessary for better and timely intervention. It is unlikely that pupils will go for screenings on their own to ascertain the health of their vision. Pupils with eye problems often face significant challenges in their learning.
The donations made by the Foundation will go a long way to help the pupils excel in their academic pursuits. Most students in the rural parts of the country do not have basic items like books to help them learn in school. The majority often drop out to engage in menial jobs to obtain money. School girls are also prone to unwanted pregnancies and early marriages. The majority of them are brilliant but do not have the needed resources to go to school.
