TikTok star Chef Abbys flies Ghana’s flag at Cannes creativity summit in France
Ghanaian culinary star and TikTok content creator, Chef Abbys known in real life as Abena Amoakoa Sintim-Aboagye has been chosen as the sole Ghanaian representative at the 2025 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France.
Her invitation follows her recent inclusion in TikTok’s 2025 Discover List, which spotlights 50 influential creators around the world who are reshaping culture and inspiring creativity. As one of the standout names on this list, Chef Abbys will now take the global stage at the 72nd edition of the Cannes Lions Festival, happening from June 16 to 20.

TikTok’s presence at Cannes aims to highlight creators and brands redefining storytelling and innovation on the platform and Chef Abbys is playing a central role in that showcase. Her participation is more than just a personal achievement; it marks a milestone for Ghana and a broader step forward for Africans in global creative spaces.
As a cultural ambassador for Ghanaian food, Chef Abbys uses food to celebrate tradition, share stories, and connect with audiences around the world. “Food is my language. Through it, I tell stories, honor my roots, and invite the world to taste Ghana,” she says.
With over 1.3 million followers on TikTok, Chef Abbys has built a strong digital community by turning everyday Ghanaian dishes like waakye, kenkey, jollof, and banku into rich, visual experiences. Her content blends food, storytelling, and heritage in a way that preserves identity and sparks global curiosity.
