Teacher arrested for rape, investigations underway
Teacher arrested for rape after the victim had been rushed to the hospital. The alleged rape took place in Sawla Senior High School (SHS) in the Savannah Region. An official report has been made to the Sawla Police.
The police were informed of the case after a student had accused a male teacher of raping her.

ASP Degraft Adjei, an officer at the Sawla Police outfit has indicated that a doctor’s report has revealed the student, a 19 year , had suffered some bruises.
To ensure the case is properly dealt with, the police at the Sawla Police post have forwarded the docket of the case to the Attorney-General’s office for advice.
Information gathered so far indicates that the accused teacher Mr. Ernest Ocloo is currently in police custody and assisting the Ghana police with investigations on the alleged rape.
The accused teacher would face the full arm of the law if found guilty. According to sources, the victim complained of abdominal pains. She was later rushed to the Sawla Polyclinic for urgent medical examination by the school’s headteacher.
The head teacher of the Sawla Senior High School (SHS) in the Savannah Region later reported the suspect to the Ghana police which lead to the arrest and detention of the suspect.
