The AFCON 2021 qualifier between Ghana Blacks Stars and Bafana Bafana of South Africa ended in a sweet victory for the home team on the night.

The Black Stars looked more determined and played very attractive fast paced football on the night and won by 2 goals to nil.

This is the first national assignment of the team since July when Ghana exited from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) at a time every supporter wanted the Ghana Blacks Stars to win the cup 31 years on.
On the night the Ghana Black Stars earned all three points at stake in their first match in the qualifier. This is surely a moral boaster for the team and its teeming fans. The Cape Coast Stadium was filled to capacity and electrifying and one could see the #BringBackTheLove campaign worked for the team and the GFA.
With a well drilled strike at 23 yards, Thomas Partey gave Ghana Blacks Stars the lead in the 35th minute and managed to shut Bafana out. They tried to recover, but the defense of the black stars was solid inside out and difficult to break on the night.

During the restart, the Ghana Black Stars piled up their pressure and earned a well deserved second goal through hard working substitute Mohammed Kudus.
Ghana’s advantage is doubled! Debutant Mohammed Kudus managed to run into the box at the defense and triggered a never-ending effort on the net roof.
This was his first game for the Black Stars, he did not only fit so well into the team but showed he had what it takes to deliver and when he unleashed that that non-stop shot, it only ended in the roof of the net to break South African hearts.
Kwesi Appiah is certainly happy with the outcome and Molefi Ntseki his opposite coach has a lot to do after all his bragging ahead of the kick off.
When the Black Stars play Sao Tome and Principe, they will be looking forward to bagging all the three points against the home team.
