Selena Gomez defends Hailey Bieber after she receives death threats

Selena Gomez has come to the defense of Hailey Bieber after the model reported receiving death threats and hateful negativity.
The actress, known for her role in Only Murders in the Building, took to Instagram to ask her fans to stop directing hate toward Bieber. Gomez expressed that she has always advocated for kindness and that no one should experience hate or bullying.
The feud between the two women, Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, and his wife, has been ongoing for years, stemming from rumors that Hailey’s relationship with the pop star overlapped with Gomez’s. Hailey denied any overlap in an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast in September 2021.
However, the drama resurfaced earlier this year on TikTok. Hailey posted a video with her friends lip-syncing, “And I’m not saying she deserved it, but God’s timing is always right,” which fans speculated was a dig at Gomez after she was body-shamed over vacation photos. Hailey denied any ill intent.
The tension between the two further escalated when Gomez posted about accidentally over-laminating her eyebrows on Instagram.
Kylie Jenner posted a video of herself and Hailey on FaceTime showing off their eyebrows with the words “this was an accident???” which was interpreted as a dig at Gomez. However, Jenner said she meant “no shade towards Selena ever.” Gomez later defended her best friend, Taylor Swift, after an old clip of Justin and Hailey making fun of her resurfaced.
Despite the feud between the two women, Hailey reported receiving death threats, and Gomez has called for an end to the hate and negativity directed toward her.

In Hailey’s Call Her Daddy interview, she spoke about the vicious bullying by Gomez’s fans and noted that she and Justin had never reached out to Gomez about intervening with her fans or stopping the harassment.
In conclusion, while the feud between Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber has been ongoing for years, Gomez’s recent appeal to her fans to stop directing hate toward Bieber underscores the importance of kindness and ending bullying. Hopefully, the contact between the parties amid these death threats against Hailey will lead to an end to the ongoing feud.
