President Akufo Addo to deliver his last Christmas Message tonight
The outgoing President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will deliver his final Christmas message to the people of Ghana tonight. The message will be broadcast live on television and all social media platforms at exactly 6:00 PM.
This Christmas Eve address is expected to cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Wishing Ghanaians a joyous festive season.
- Highlighting his government’s successes and challenges over the last eight years.
- Reflecting on the just-ended 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections held on December 7, 2024.
- Addressing the state of the economy that the ruling NPP government is handing over to the incoming Mahama administration.
- Reviewing his achievements, including the flagship Free SHS program.
Ahead of the president’s last Christmas message, he stated that posterity would judge the Akufo-Addo administration favorably. He expressed confidence that future generations would look back on this era and recognize that his government laid a strong foundation for progress and prosperity.
These remarks were made earlier this week during the commissioning of a new forward operating base and the Navy ship Achimota. The commissioning ceremony was described as vibrant and one of the most colorful events Ghana has witnessed. The Ghana Navy Ship (GNS) is the LARGEST ship ever built in Ghana, measuring 65 meters in length.
