PIN codes for 2025/2026 national service released- NSA

The National Service Authority (NSA) has released PIN codes for 132,393 potential candidates from 100 accredited tertiary institutions for the 2025/2026 national service year. Felix Gyamfi, the Acting Director General of the NSA, declared the release in a statement on June 17, pointing out improvements in data integrity and validation protocols.
As per Mr. Gyamfi, this year’s results demonstrate a 26 per cent average reduction in submissions in comparison to the last three years, experiencing a sharp decline of 36 per cent from the 2022/2023 period, highlighting the impact of enhanced openness and enhanced verification.
The statement emphasized that “This process has effectively eliminated any form of inflated or bogus submissions. As a result, this year’s figures are on average 26% lower than the numbers received over the past three years, with a peak reduction of 36% compared to the 2022/2023 session.”
The released PINs are part of 135,990 122 reports provided by tertiary institutions. However, 3,597 submissions from 22 unaccredited institutions, as these institutions are not identified by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
Mr. Felix Gyamfi drew to attention that unless these institutions formalize their accreditation process status within 30 days, their graduates would not be mobilised. The National Service Authority (NSA) also brought to light that an additional 908 PINs for private applicants, including Ghanaian students who studied abroad and deferred/defaulted candidates, are pending confirmation before release.
He stated that “In addition to the 125 PIN codes issued to graduates submitted by accredited institutions, a further 908 PIN codes for private applicants are currently awaiting final verification from the related institutions to be released. This includes Ghanaian students who studied abroad and individuals who previously deferred or defaulted and are now ready to undertake their mandatory national service.”
Mr Felix Gyamfi encouraged potential applicants in the category to get in touch via their authority’s support lines if their PIN codes are lacking access by June 24, 2025. In an effort to improve national service, Mr. Gyamfi declared that the introduction of a six-week basic military training programme. A selected number of 2025/2026 service personnel will be used for this pilot phase.
Applicants Interested may choose to participate in the online registration and will be limited to receiving agency postings after completing military orientation, minimizing impact on placement. He stated that “The registration window opens on June 17, 2025 and will close on July 1, 2025. All eligible applicants are advised to complete their registration within the stated period and utilise available support resources as required, for a smooth enrolment experience.”
