NPP’s ‘disgraceful’ propaganda tweet deleted after public mockery
The New Patriotic Party’s attempt to engage in ‘disgraceful’ propaganda was met with fierce bashing by its followers on tweeter. Nearly every comment on the post sought to question the reason behind the post.
Within a few minutes, the comments that came in compelled the party to delete the post from its account.
The picture posted by the party was accompanied by the message below.
We delivered hot meals to suffering and vulnerable Ghanaians during the crisis, because Ghana today is much better equipped to handle this crisis than we were 4 years ago!
The caption of the picture “Who delivers help for the vulnerable during a crisis? was rather shocking.
Other inscriptions on the image showed the government inherited an empty treasury, and the NDC offered DUMSOR to Ghanaians during Mahama’s presidency while the Nana Addo led government provided HOT MEALS during COVID-19.

One question worth asking is what has COVID-19 and hot meals got to do with Empty Treasury and dumsor? More disturbing was the motive behind the post. People who commented on the post questioned the reason behind the post. NDC sympathizers argued that the government entreated all Ghanaians not to politicize the fight against COVID-19 yet the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was using its tweets to do the same thing. Others believed it was cheap propaganda.
The above paragraph summarizes the questions and mockery that greeted the post and might have forced the NPP to take it off but we captured it just before that. “A picture is worth a thousand words“. Check it below.
