#NoCalls8Feb is on as Ghanaians boycott Data services and Phone Calls due to SIM cards Re-registration.

There has been a petition going around which seem to interest a lot of Ghanaians as the petition garners 1000’s of signatories as they boycott phone calls and other data services.
This is mainly due to their unwillingness to back the SIM card re-registration which has been pronounced as mandatory by the Government of Ghana as was announced in the latter days of last year;2021.
The #NoCalls8Feb trend is to show that a number of Ghanaians do not support the idea by the Government to enforce such a rule with requirements such as the Ghana Card seen by the people as preposterous. There was an early threat to block SIM cards which have not been registered with the Ghana card which seem to have sparked the outrage.
The protest is supposed to last from 6am to 12 noon on February 8, 2022 but looks to continue in similar forms going forward with a lot of Ghanaians showing signs of frustration.
