Judge in Kennedy Agyapong’s case

Justice Amos Wuntah Wuni of the High Court Judge presiding over the contempt case of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has indicated that he cannot be manipulated by anyone in the trial involving the Member of Parliament.

The judge revealed he has worked hard to earn his reputation and current status and so he would not succumb to any attempt to allow injustice to prevail.

Thereasonssetoutinthearticlecomprised “that the case was not a media trial and also some members of the public were reading different meanings into the case.”

Also, during the judicial proceedings, Alexander Afenyo Markin, a legal representative for the parliamentarian, informed the jury that several politicians have since spoken on the matter, trying to give it a partisan spin.

In response, the judge maintained that he’s doing the work of the Lord, which required that his judgement would not be swayed by matters beyond his power.

He made this known to the court on 6 October 2020 during the questioning of Kennedy Agyapong physician, who was summoned to appear before the court on 1 October 2020 to make clear what went on to provide the MP with a medical excuse.

Kennedy Agyapong is in court following an angry rant on live TV when expressing dissatisfaction with the judge’s ruling to issue of an injunction against him in a land litigation case.

In his overreaction, he contested the court’s authority on the subject and unleashed unprintable abuses towards the judge who oversaw the case; threatened to “face the judge”.
