NCA Launches Dispute Resolution Committee for Mobile Network Customers
In order to address the growing concerns of aggrieved customers, the (NCA) launches the Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC).
Effective July 1st, this committee will provide a platform for customers to file complaints and seek redress for any disputes they may have with mobile network operators and service providers.
The DRC was established under sections 84 and 85 of the Electronic Communications Act, 2008 (Act 775) to ensure that grievances between sector players are resolved in a timely and fair manner.
This added layer to the NCA’s existing Customer Complaints Centre is designed to prevent disputes from escalating to litigations, which can hinder the smooth running of business.
At the launch of the committee, Okatakyie Ababio Boakye Danquah II, Board Chair of the NCA, emphasized that the establishment of the DRC will facilitate the speedy resolution of conflicts in furtherance of the digitalization agenda.
Director General of the NCA, Dr. Joe Anokye, expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to deliver on its mandate.

Chairman of the committee, Patrick Anim Boateng, assured that his committee will remain impartial and prioritize the interests of consumers in their decision-making process.
The committee consists of eight members with diverse expertise, including Professor Mark Adom-Asamoah, Hon. Ama Pomaa Boateng, Dr. Jemima Nunoo, Kofi Owusu-Nhyira Esq., Mr. Kusum Appiah, Golda Sowah Adjei, and Nana Adjoa Adobea Asante (Mrs.) as Secretary/Registrar.
The establishment of the DRC is a significant development in the telecommunications sector, as it provides a dedicated platform for resolving disputes and ensuring customer satisfaction.
With this new initiative, customers can expect timely and fair resolution of disputes with their mobile network operators and service providers.
