President appoints new MCE for Birim Central
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Joyce Adjoa Agyeiwaa as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
This significant appointment reflects the President’s confidence in her abilities and is aligned with Article 243(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936).
The announcement was formalized through a letter from the President’s representative at the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, and sector Minister designate, Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah.
This letter tasked the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council to collaborate with the regional Electoral Commission to facilitate the confirmation process for the new MCE nominee.
