Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has fired Sarah Adwoa Safo as Gender, Children, and Social Protection Minister. Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the President’s Office, cited Article 81(a) of the 1992 Constitution as the reason for President Akufo-Addo’s decision.
Minister Cecilia Abena Dapaah, Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, will remain in charge until a new Minister takes office, the statement said.
“In accordance with article 81(a) of the Constitution, the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has revoked the appointment of Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, with immediate effect.
