Meeting between Government and UTAG ends in a Stalemate.

The Government and the University Teachers Association of Ghana(UTAG) were scheduled to have a meeting on Thursday February 10, 2022 which they did have.
The meeting was scheduled following the ultimatum given by the Labour Division of the High Court earlier in the month of February with Thursday’s meeting as the end of the timeline given.
The purpose of the meeting was to find mutually beneficial resolutions to the ongoing strike problem and the impasse following the decision by UTAG.
The meeting was chaired by Dr, Yaw Adutwum, the Education minister of Ghana.
Sources from the meeting claim that proceedings and discussions lasted for about three whole hours and even that could not result in anything positive with the meeting ending in a stalemate as the parties involved could not come to any such favorable decision.
As it stands, the court system is to make the final decision on the issue following the stalemate from the meeting between UTAG and the Government.
