Man Utd Peeps Leicester City 2-1 as Pogba Nets First Goal

The curtain raiser match to usher the 2018-2019 EPL season into motion took place on Friday night at Old Traffordas Man United peeps Leicester City as Pogba nets first goal of the season for Manchester United and himself. The first goal was scored through a spot kick after the Leicester City’s Ghanaian international Daniel Amartey had handled the ball in the eighteen yard box.

This pressure must inspire him to work hard and deliver the goals and the great game and touches he is known for to continue to be in the good books of the fans.

There was nothing in the chance as the ball got scrambled for in the eighteen yard box yet, he found the right skill to bury the ball in the net.

Jamie Vardy, the goal poacher for Leicester City was at his best in the 92^ndminute as he pulled one back after the loose ball had hit the goal post and bounced into his path in the goal area but it was a late comeback that never materialized as Manchester United run away 2-1 victors on the first night of the EPL season.

The performance on the night was not the best however, the most important three points were earned by Man United. Leicester City played very well on the night. All the statistics were in their favour except the score line. They were hungrier of the two teams. Any pundit of soccer and follower of the EPL will be making a big mistake by using this game to judge the quality and depth of both teams because, the league is just a game and a day old and as the players begin to player week after week after the break, we will then be able to tell the quality that each of the teams have brought into the 2018-2019 league season.

It is early days yet. However, if Pogba, can be consistent with his performance and replicate the season opening performance, he can be the magic wand of the team but this will only benefit the team if they all play well and do the right thing from the bench led by Jose Mourinho who has come under serious bashing days before the league season kicked off.
