Kwabeng Anglican SHTS’ infrastructure is met with wild rainstorm

On Friday, March 18,2022, the Anglican Senior High Technical School at Akyem Kwabeng in the Atiwa West District of the Eastern Region suffered terribly after being met with a violent rainstorm.
The Assistant Headmistress(Academics), Agnes Minta, revealed that even though there were no casualties on the day, their infrastructure was very much affected in the form of destruction of the final years’ classrooms.
Apparently, the lighting system of the school which also supports their water pumping system has also been damaged hence the lights out and water shortage.
Before this, there were reports of increased pressure on the school’s infrastructure hence students having to study and eat under trees.
The free SHS policy did not do them any favors with increase in the student populace without any match in capacity.
The Assistant Headmistress( Academics) has sent out a plea for immediate response from the government.
The National Disaster Management Organization( NADMO) is also expected to support the school by providing reliefs.
