Ghana Police Arrest Suspect For Unlawful Possession Of Weapon

The Ghana Police service arrests suspect named Abdul Rauf Salami in the Eastern Region for the illegal possession of weapons.
The Eastern Regional Police department through their public affairs unit published a press release earlier today having it that they have been able to arrest Abdul Rauf Salami in the Eastern Region Adoagyiri Zongo to be precise for the unlawful possession of weapons.
According to the publication from the police, Abdul Rauf Salami was arrested on 23rd May 2025 in Adoagyiri at 9:30 PM during a police operation which targeted all entry and exit point of Adoagyiri.
Weapons which were retrieved from the suspect include two pump action guns with 64 rounds of AA ammunitions, a cutlass a knife and an ammunition vest.
The suspect is currently in police custody and he is expected to be arranged before the law court to face justice.
