Ghana Card registration Dates Out Region by Region
To enable the National Identification Authority (NIA) to roll out the national identification authority mass registration exercise. The following dates have been scheduled to perform this all-important national exercise in all regions starting with Greater Accra. All the sixteen regions will be covered by the end of March 2020. Mass Registration exercise for the Ghana Card starts 29th April

Volta Region registration commences on 13th July,2019-1st August 2019
Oti Region from – 15th July,2019-1st August 2019

North East Region – 13th August 2019 -2nd September 2019
Upper East Region – 12th September,2019-29th September 2019
Upper West Region – 12th September,2019-29th September, 2019
Bono Region – 10th October,2019-30th October 2019
Bono East Region – 10th October,2019-30th October,2019
Ahafo Region – 10th October,2019-30th October,2019
Western Region – 11th November,2019-2nd December,2019
Western North Region – 11th November,2019-2nd December,2019
Ashanti Region – 10th December,2019-31st January,2020
Eastern Region – 12th February,2020-4th March,2020
Central Region – 13th March,2020-31st March,2020
The new Ghana card when complete will help harmonize all other identification cards within the country.
How to register
All applicants who want to be registered must be present at the registration centre in person and have his or her birth certificate available or his or her passport, and Digital address.
The three-stage registration process which includes, filling of a form by the officer to capture your biodata will be followed by your data been entered into a Mobile Registration workstation by another officer.
Your photograph will be taken on the spot with the aid of a digital camera by the Mobile Registration work station operator. You will be required to provide an electronic signature with the aid of the electronic signature pad available at the centre.
An ID card collection slip or receipt will be given to you which would be used by you to pick or collect your ID when it is ready. Note that, no one is supposed to pay officials any money to be registered.
NOTE: Report anyone who requires you to pay money to the Ghana police for the appropriate action.
